Guringai language
Kuringgai (also spelled Ku-ring-gai, Kuring-gai, Guringai) (/ɡjʊərɪŋˈɡɪ/), a group of indigenous people of Australia, are those Australian Aborigines that were united by a common language, strong ties of kinship and survived as skilled hunter–fisher–gatherers in family groups or clans scattered along the coastal area of what is now known as the Sydney basin, in New South Wales, Australia. Their traditional territory spreads from the north of Sydney Harbour, through Lane Cove River, Middle Harbour, Pittwater, the Hawkesbury River, Broken Bay, Brisbane Water, and Central Coast to north of Tuggerah Lakes.

Kariong: The Key to Unlocking a Forgotten Origin » Forgotten Origin
Dec 06 Kariong: The Key to Unlocking a Forgotten Origin Categories: Australian Aboriginal History by admin Until receiving a phone call from Nina Angelo (OAM), I knew nothing of neither the struggles involved in protecting the land around Kariong (near Gosford) nor that part of this land was now on the market. When on-site I had seen a lot of tagged trees, and a for sale sign somewhere along a main road, but being unfamiliar with the whole region, nothing registered.
