Liquid pressure
Pressure (symbol: p or P) is the ratio of force to the area over which that force is distributed.
Pressure is force per unit area applied in a direction perpendicular to the surface of an object. Gauge pressure (also spelled gage pressure) is the pressure relative to the local atmospheric or ambient pressure. Pressure is measured in any unit of force divided by any unit of area. The SI unit of pressure is the newton per square metre, which is called the pascal (Pa) after the seventeenth-century philosopher and scientist Blaise Pascal. A pressure of 1 Pa approximately equals the pressure exerted by a dollar bill resting flat on a table. Everyday pressures are often stated in kilopascals (1 kPa = 1000 Pa).

Pressure Drop Of 2 Phase In Pipe With Unknown Liquid Quantity - Industrial Professionals - Cheresources.com Community
Pressure Drop Of 2 Phase In Pipe With Unknown Liquid Quantity - posted in Industrial Professionals: Hi I need help in estimating the pressure drop of 2 phase mixture in an annular pipe. Gas comes downward through the inside pipe into a pool of liquid and takes a turn and exits from outer pipe. In this process it carries some water along with it. My overall objective is to estimate the amount of water the gas entrains with it. I know the total pressure drop in the outer pipe. Total pressure...

Can water stay liquid below zero degrees Celsius? | Science Questions with Surprising Answers
Yes, water can stay liquid below zero degrees Celsius. There are a few ways in which this can happen. First of all, the phase of a material (whether it is gas, liquid, or solid) depends strongly on both its temperature and pressure. For most liquids, applying pressure raises the temperature at which the liquid freezes…
