Generating Student Questions | CARFLEO
At the beginning of a unit, mini-unit or lesson it is often good practice to build intrinsic motivation of students. One way to build interest is to have them generate their own questions for exploration in the learning activities. Here are some sites that can provide insight into this process. This is also an important…

Teaching Students to Ask The Right Question: Forum | KQED Public Media for Northern CA
Dan Rothstein and Luz Santana think students aren't asking enough questions in today's classrooms. Instead, the co-founders of The Right Question Institute are proposing a new learning method: let students ask their own questions, and have the teacher there as a facilitator. They believe it's important for all students to learn how to ask their own questions, and in doing so, they'll better understand the math problem or historical period they're studying. So what are the right questions? We invite educators, parents and students to join the discussion.

The Real Blog: The big question nobody is asking
I always read Anthony Hilton's finance column in the Evening Standard, and I always learn something from it. He doesn't regard the duty of a financial columnist, as some do, to cheerlead for the financial sector.

Windows to My Life: Writing to Remember: Have You Ever Heard of Robert May?

What Do Americans Believe In? (Spoiler Alert: "Evolution" And "Ghosts" Are Neck And Neck) | Zero Hedge
Perhaps it is because the prevalent theme of the past five years has been the ascent of central planning in the name of the Bernanke wealth effect, headed by Saint Ben himself, that has forced Americans to reassess, and moderate, their belief in "conventional" topics such as god, miracles and heaven. According to a new Harris Poll while a strong majority (74%) of U.S. adults do believe in God, this belief is in decline when compared to previous years as just over four in five (82%) expressed a belief in God in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
