Yamurikuma
Yamurikuma is a festival in which the women of some Xingu tribes participate in a sort of gender role reversal, wearing feather ornaments and ankle rattles normally worn by men. There are several physical competitions, including archery, swimming, carrying logs, running, and tug of war.
The festival culminates in a wrestling contest called Huka-huka. Wrestling matches usually only last for a few seconds until one opponent is either actually thrown down or 'thrown down' by default (when the other wrestler has grabbed both of their knees in such a way that it would inevitably lead to them being knocked to the ground).

And the Last Woman Standing is … | UrbanUltra Women
Would you be prepared to run for six hours plus in the lung-lashing altitude of Mexico’s Sierra Madre mountains, all the while wearing a brightly coloured party frock and chucking a hoop off a stick? Not forgetting sporting flip-flops fashioned out of old tyres and evading snakes and vertical inclines? That was the final challenge facing the plucky contenders on the fascinating mix of sport and anthropology Last Woman Standing (BBC3). It was the supposed fashion horror of the frocks sported by the Tarahumara tribe – I thought they looked rather fetching – that vexed them the most as they attempted to master the art of Arihueta, a rather endearing hybrid of fell running and hoopla. With each contestant’s eyes on the prize, the girl-power bonding, built up across four months of global athletic endeavour, threatened to splinter at the last. The series was all about five athletic adventurers from the west competing for glory against tribal champions in some of the remotest corners of the globe, with the ultimate aim of being crowned the last woman standing. They had just a week to master an indigenous sport, training and rituals whilst eating and sleeping as their fellow competitors do. The athletes began in Brazil by taking on Huka Huka wrestling with the Kamaiura tribe.
